The road between Makkah and Madinah is one of the most travelled journeys of any Umrah trip. At roughly 450 kilometres, it is a genuine long-distance drive — around four to five hours — so comfort and reliability matter more here than on any short airport hop.
A private Makkah to Madinah taxi gives you something the bus and train cannot: your own schedule. Leave when you are ready, stop for prayer, food, or rest when you need to, and travel door to door from your Makkah hotel to your Madinah hotel without changing vehicles or carrying luggage between stations.

A private car typically costs from around SAR 400 for a sedan up to SAR 650–850 for a premium GMC. Larger vans and the Coaster bus for groups are priced by capacity. Your exact fixed fare is confirmed on WhatsApp before you travel.

Both are good options. The train is fast between stations, but a private taxi is door to door — no getting to and from stations with luggage, and you leave exactly when you want. For families with lots of bags, the convenience of a private transfer often wins.
